Centralized Data Governance Hub
Built a centralized data governance platform on Ataccama for a holding company, connecting 5 subsidiaries with unified data quality, business glossary, and cross-company data sharing.
The Challenge
A major holding company with 5 subsidiary companies had no centralized approach to data management. Each subsidiary maintained its own data standards, definitions, and quality processes — or none at all. Critical business data was inconsistent across companies, making group-level reporting unreliable. Duplicate records, missing fields, and conflicting definitions meant leadership couldn't trust the numbers. Cross-company data sharing was manual, ad-hoc, and error-prone.
Our Solution
We implemented Ataccama as the central data governance platform across all 5 subsidiaries. The solution included a unified business glossary with standardized definitions, automated data quality rules with daily monitoring and alerting, cross-company data sharing pipelines with access controls, and data stewardship workflows so each subsidiary could manage its own domain while adhering to group-wide standards. The platform delivers daily quality reports, flags anomalies, and gives leadership a single view of data health across the entire holding.
